5 foreigners are told to retire: Government

NEW DELHI: Five foreigners were asked to leave India for violating visa regulations by participating against the Citizenship (Amendment) Law, the government informed Lok sabha on Tuesday.

As reported by the Office of, five foreign citizens who violated visa rules by participating in protests against the CAA were asked to leave India, said junior home Nityanand Rai in a written response.

One of them was, a German exchange student at IIT-Madras. Another was the tourist Janne-Mette Johansson, who had participated in protests against the CAA in Kochi in December 2019.
