Bank holidays in March 2020: see the full list here
In India, festivals vary from state to state and so are holidays. Most of us prefer to know the holidays in advance to be able to plan our financial transactions. For designated holidays, private and public banks will remain closed. But for national holidays, banks across the country will be closed.
In March 2020, most of India will observe Holi and Ugadi and the banks will remain closed these days.
Banks in Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal will observe holidays on March 9, 2020, due to Holi ka/Dolyatra/Holi/Birthday of Md. Hazarat Ali. On March 10, 2020, banks in most of India will be closed due to Holi.
Banks in Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Ladakh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Tamil Nadu and Telangana will remain closed on March 25, 2020, Gudi Padwa/Ugadi/1st Navratra. The banks in Jharkhand will be closed on March 27, 2020, due to Sarhul.
