Seoul seeks a murder investigation of church leaders linked to the Covid-19 outbreak

SEOUL: The city of Seoul On Sunday he asked prosecutors to investigate the founder of a church in the center of the country's outbreak and other leaders of the sect and other criminal charges. Authorities believe that the church has contributed to the increase in the number of deaths from the virus in the country, which reached 20 as of Sunday, by not providing disease control officers with a complete and accurate list of church members and interfere with government efforts to combat the outbreak.

Prosecutors have yet to decide whether to begin a formal investigation into the founder, Lee Man-hee, and other sect leaders. Shincheonji officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Sunday.
