Bodies of two DU students found inside the flat in Jamia Nagar
NEW DELHI: Bodies of two Delhi University The students were found inside an apartment in southeast Delhi, police said Sunday. The man and the woman, both 23, were from Ladakh, they said.
Police said a one-page suicide note was left by the man and a woman, had left a two-page suicide note.
Police did not share details of the suicide notes.
Both students had neck injuries and two knives were recovered from inside the apartment, they said.
During the initial investigation, it was learned that the man used to stay alone on one floor in the area of the Batla House of Jamia Nagar, while the woman resided in the Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP), R P Meena, said.
The woman had come to meet the man in her apartment on Saturday, he said.
Meena said the apartment door was locked inside and that it was broken at the behest of a security guard and his son Vinod, adding that the place has been photographed and inspected.
The bodies have been transferred to the AIIMS. The families of the students are in Delhi, DCP said.
An additional inspection will be performed by a team, Meena said.
