Former Indian hockey player and Olympic bronze medalist Balbir Singh Kullar dies
NEW DELHI: former Indian hockey player Balbir Singh Kullar , who was part of the bronze-winning team at the 1968 Olympics, died, the national federation said Sunday.
He was 77 years old.
We are deeply saddened by the demise of our former hockey player and a two-time Olympic medallist, Balbir Singh Kullar, Indian hockey He said on his official Twitter account.

Born in Sansarpur Jalandhar district town in Punjab, Kullar made his debut in India in 1963 in Lyon in France. He earned a reputation as an internal striker in the Indian team and toured several countries such as Belgium, England, the Netherlands , New Zealand and western Germany.
He was also a member of the Indian team that won the gold of the Asian Games in 1966 (Bangkok) and the Olympic Bronze in 1968 (Mexico).
