Mumbai: Inform illegal immigrants and get a reward of Rs5,555, says MNS

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), led by Raj Thackeray, has presented a reward of 5,555 rupees to anyone who provides information about Bangladesh and lives in the city. The banners have been placed per unit in Charkop.

The banners indicate that, as alert citizens, people should be involved in the trip. Residents were urged to monitor their surroundings and inform MNS about those people who live there. Lawyer Uday Warunjikar said the goal seemed good but that the real intention seemed to be publicity; It is an illegal accumulation that does not show BMC permission.

Dilip Sawant, additional police commissioner (northern region), said: We will examine them and take action. MNS leaders were not available for comment. A senior civic official said they will check if the posters were illegal.

MNS had placed similar posters in the city of Aurangabad, offering a cash reward to those who reported infiltrators from Bangladesh. Earlier this month, Thackeray had demanded in a rally the expulsion of infiltrators from Bangladesh and Pakistan from Mumbai.
