Exit or penny challenge

This social media challenge involves people who partially insert the tips of the charger into an outlet and then insert a coin or penny into the space with the aim of causing sparks. The challenge caused fires and short circuits in several schools and houses in the United States and the United Kingdom. While there have been no reports of any injured person, two teenagers faced charges of attempted arson and malicious property damage in the United Kingdom.

Bird Box Challenge

The trend arose after people became obsessed with a thriller of the same name. This challenge saw people doing daily tasks blindfolded. The OTT platform where the film was released issued a warning to viewers that doing this risky challenge could result in hospitalization.

Tracking popularity?

While this may not be a challenge on social networks, but attempts to gather more successes and likes on social networks performing dangerous stunts on moving trains or railways is another dangerous trend that has existed for a while. In 2017, we reported that the daring selfies of the young people and the stunt videos with trains led the authorities to take action against them. Three years later, madness refuses to die. On February 18, the Ministry of Railways tweeted a video of a man trying to record a trick on a moving train and narrowly escaped death. The ministry urged people not to try such activities.
