Singer Anne Amie: I was offered the opportunity to dub for Kalyani in 'Varane Avashyamud, while I was in Chennai for the Filmfare Awards
Only a few months ago that singer Anne Amie won her first Filmfare Award for the song 'Aararo', from the movie Koode.
Recently, he made his debut as a dubbing artist too, through the film ' Varane Avashyamund . 'It's for the character played by Kalyani Priyadarshan Anne called in the movie. She tells us how the opportunity knocked on her door.
I received the dubbing offer for Kalyani while I was in Chennai in December, where I won my first Filmfare Prize. The online producer Harris Desom, with whom I worked on the movie 'Nine', was the one who called with the news, saying it was Anoop Sathyan who asked him to contact me, says Anne. The singer says she said an immediate yes to the offer, as it was something she always wanted to try. I had also sung a song for the movie, along with lending my voice to their background scores. In addition, it was for the debut project of Kalyani, the daughter of Mr. Priyadarshan. I was excited and decided to try, he says. Anne learned later that Anoop decided to test her voice after watching a video of her wishing for a university team, both in English and in Malayalam. Apparently, Anoop Sathyan called her soon, to give her some situations, as proof. It was like an audition, says Anne, who recorded her lines for the same and sent them to Anoop. He said yes, and I went to join the team on December 26 last year. I was a little tense, but also excited to the same extent, says the singer.nAnne reveals that the emotional parts in the script were quite challenging, especially those in which the character had to cry. Initially, I got carried away and didn't deliver it well. However, the crew was very patient with me, which helped me fall on the track over time. Many of Kalyani's scenes are with Lady Shobhana, and it is Bhagyalakshmi, lady who nicknamed her. It was an honor to share the frames with all of them, explains Anne. He also got good comments for his many debut, including Priyadarshan, Sathyan Anthikad and the director of 'June' Ahmed Kabir, 'says Anne.
The singer, who is also busy with her band Noor who makes songs in Hindi, has a song in the movie 'Anugraheethan Antony'.
