Music Review: Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

Album: Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

Directed by Hitesh Kewalya, the upcoming social romcom 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' has Ayushmann Khurrana , Jitendra Kumar , Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta leading the cast.

A spin-off of 2017 ' Shubh Mangal Saavdhan ', which dealt with erectile dysfunction, the film focuses on the relationship between people of the same sex this time.

The soundtrack is as interesting as the theme and opens with a Bollywood love song par excellence with the song 'Mere Liye Tum Kaafi Ho', which captures the essence of the film beautifully. This track has several things in its favor. From the effortless tuner of actor and singer Ayushmann to Tanishk Fresh composition or Wow It's simple, yet heart-whelming words like, ‘Yeh duniya mile na mile humko, khushiyan bhaga dengi har gham ko/Tum saath ho phir kya baaki ho, deserves liye tum kaafi ho’. While the gender-neutral lyrics capture the universal, all-encompassing emotion of love, Shomu Seal’s guitar and Tanishk’s programming with the addictive beats are worth a hear. This could easily benone of Tanishk’s best compositions.

About 35 years ago, 'Yaar Bina Chain Kahan Re' ('Saaheb', 1985) by Bappi Lahiri with lyrics by Anjaan, was not only a success, but also won popular awards. Composed by Bappida (as he is popularly known), a pioneer of disco music in the 80s, he also sang the song with S Janaki.

Now, the iconic track has been recreated as 'Arey Pyaar Kar Le' by Tanishk and Ayushmann completely rocks this new version as he wields the mic along with the original singer. The song, penned by Wow with rap by Ikka, does not

disappoint.

The third track 'Pyaar Tenu Karda Gabru' is debuting our Top 20 Charts at Number 9. This is not the first time that Ayushmann - Tanishk -Romy- Wow have worked together, they have been heard in 'Badhaaiyan Tenu' ('Badhai Ho', 2018) earlier. Inspired by the Yo Yo Honey Singh song, 'Gabru', the song has not been altered much by Tanishk . It also has the lead actors show off their moves in this typical Punjabi dance number.
