'Hanuman Chalisa' helped AAP win polls in Delhi: BJP leader
JAMMU: '' recited by the Prime Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, helped his party win the elections of the Delhi assembly, said the president of Jammu and Kashmir BJP, Ravinder Raina.
Kejriwal won by Hanuman ji while reciting Hanuman Chalisa and was blessed because otherwise he would not have won, Raina told reporters in Jammu.
In reaction to the overwhelming victory of the AAP in Delhi, he said the percentage of votes of his party also increased.
He (Kejriwal) remembered Hanuman for the first time and recited Hanuman Chalisa and was blessed by Pawan Putra, he said.
When asked why the BJP was not blessed despite the singing, '' he said the party won the parliamentary elections with a large majority because thousands of party workers chanted Lord Ram's name repeatedly.
Meanwhile, jubilant AAP activists took to the streets outside the fairgrounds to celebrate the victory of the party in the Delhi elections.
They distributed sweets before dispersing peacefully.
Delhi voters rejected the hate policy and voted for the work done by the party during his administration, said one of the activists, claiming that the BJP left no stone unturned to divide people on communal lines by raking.
