KABUL: Afghanistan has remembered the fast bowler Shapoor Zadran for the next three-game T20I series against Ireland . Zadran returns in national colors after almost a year and a half. The last player played a T20I in June 2018 against Bangladesh.

The 15-member squad announced by the Afghanistan cricket board The selection committee (ACB) is also formed by the versatile young Azmatullah Omarzai. Opening batter, Usman Ghani , which was not included in the series of Afghanistan against the West Indies in October 2019, also returned to the team.

"We have selected the current best T20 players and hopefully will do better against Ireland ," said chief selector Andy Moles .

Hazrat Zazai's fitness has improved dramatically, Moles added, praising the versatile skills of Azmatullah Omerzai and the Qais Ahmad leg spinner, who has returned from a successful BBL, as a future start that cannot be wasted.

Ahmad, nineteen, who recently had a period in the Big Bash League (BBL) for Hurricanes Hobart, also finds a place, since so far he only played a solo test game for Afghanistan.

Afghanistan will face Ireland in a three-match T20I series which will be played on March 6, 8 and 10 at the Greater Noida Ground.
