BJP parliamentary party meeting in progress in the presence of PM Modi

NEW DELHI: The parliamentary meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is underway in Parliament.

The meeting is held in the presence of the prime minister. Narendra Modi , The national president of BJP, JP Nadda, and Union ministers as Nitin Gadkari Ravi Shankar Prasad Prakash Javadekar , Ramesh Pokhriya and Nirmala Sitharaman among others.

BJP MP is also present at the meeting.

This is the first meeting of Nadda's parliamentary party after taking over as national president of BJP.

This meeting approaches the controversial observation of Mahatma Gandhi After which many of the main leaders of the BJP expressed their dissatisfaction with their comment, party sources said today.

Hegde has been asked to issue an unconditional apology, according to BJP sources.

Hegde had attacked Mahatma Gandhi by calling the freedom struggle led by him a drama and also questioned as to how such people come to be called 'Mahatma' in India.

None of these alleged leaders was beaten by the police once. His independence movement was a great drama. It was organized by these leaders with the approval of the British. It was not a genuine struggle. It was a freedom of fighting fit, he had said.
