Children raped in the bathroom of the Jaipur marriage garden, MP catering service

JAIPUR: A 10-year-old girl, who had accompanied her parents to a marriage in Jaipur, was raped by a 36-year-old man on Sunday night.

The police, however, managed to arrest the defendant, who was about to serve snacks at the function, within 24 hours.

The defendant, identified in Madhya Pradesh, raped the girl in one of the bathrooms and left her unconscious with serious injuries to her private parts.

The defendant was one of those who served food.

Police said the defendant, in an attempt to dominate her, could have grabbed her neck because she had marks on her neck and head.

In the complaint, the girl's father said they searched the entire place as soon as they learned she was missing. Her uncle found her lying in an unconscious state in a bathroom, bleeding profusely from her private parts.

The girl was rushed to a hospital where doctors performed a 2-hour surgery. “They took her to the hospital around 1 a.m. He had serious injuries in his private parts. Our surgical team performed surgery and rebuilt the damaged part, said Dr. Ashok Gupta, medical superintendent. The girl's condition is stable and is maintained in the post-surgical ICU, the doctor said.

The girl's father had filed the complaint, saying that an unidentified person had raped her daughter. A team of 50 police officers was formed by DCP (West) to inspect the crime scene and to interrogate guests and service providers such as catering services, photographers, etc.

After reviewing the CCTV images and drone camera recordings for 10-15 hours, the police found the defendant, who was one of those serving food at the scene. Police arrested the defendant, a resident of Bhind in Madhya Pradesh.
