'CAA will not be reversed, it is not the government of Rajiv Feroze Khan'

NEW DELHI: Faced with a 96-hour ban by the Electoral Commission for communally divisive comments, the MP of BJP raised his tone again on Monday at the Lok Sabha calling for the current protest by Shaheen Bagh against the Law on Amendment of () Anti-national citizenship, and declared that the law will not be revoked since it is not the government of Rajiv Feroze Khan.

The West Delhi parliamentarian also accused Congress of falling into countless corruptions and practicing the politics of the voting bank by initiating the motion of thanks on the president's speech as the star speaker of the BJP.

Verma, son of the late chief minister of Delhi, Sahib Singh Verma, is among several BJP leaders who have tried to make the Shaheen Bagh anti-CAA protest the central board of the February 8 assembly elections.

Quoting the former prime minister Manmohan Singh and statements by former Assam Prime Minister Tarun Gogoi Verma said they had even supported the granting of citizenship to Hindus who were persecuted in Bangladesh.

The two-time deputy of the BJP also asked the opposition members to raise the motto, saying that it was not a symbol of a religion but of the culture of the country, and suggested that if you do, your sins will be washed away.

Praising the deadlines set by the Modi government for each job and effort in resolving the outstanding issues with determination, the MP accused the opposition members of not respecting the mandate of the people who chose Modi by granting 303 seats.

If it was so bad, why did he get a 303-seat term in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections?
