Case of sexual harassment: Swami Chinmayanand gets bail
SHAHJAHANPUR: On Monday, the former Union minister, accused of sexual exploitation by a law student, was released on bail.
Chinmayanand, whose confidence he runs, where the student studied, was arrested under the IPC Section, a crime related to the abuse of his position by a person with authority to induce or seduce a woman under his charge of having sex They are not the crime of rape.
Chinmayanand also faces charges of harassment under Section 354D, unlawful confinement under Section 342 and criminal intimidation under Section 506 of the IPC.
The 23-year-old law student, who was arrested for allegedly trying to extort Rs 5 million, was released on bail on December 11.
The former Union minister alleged that they had threatened to make public some music videos showing that he received a massage from the law student, who was arrested on September 25.
