“I have made 17 films till now. Will possibly make a few more. But on the last day of # Happy Pherot shoot, can't help but reflect that in making this possibly I have enjoyed myself the most. And it it is not merely because I have pined to make it for long. The real reason it is that every day of the shoot, a thin, innocent 15-year-old boy used to sit beside me at the monitor. Approving, disapproving, raising eyebrows, smiling, chiding and patting our back as we sought to bring the pages alive. He brought back memories of another day - the smell of a freshly printed Happy book, the excitement of reading it for the first time, travelling with the trio. And as soon as I said Pack up for one last time, the boy vanished. Maybe he will be back next season(sic),” wrote the acclaimed director.
‘ Happy Pherot’ it is based on the iconic Bong detective and there will be two popular stories, ‘Chhinomostar Obhishaap’ and ‘Joto Kando Kathmandute’. The first look poster ‘ Happy Pherot’ was also lapped up by the fans. While Tota as Happy looked fresh and smart and Kalpan Mitra as Topesh seemed to be the young learner. The most interesting thingwas Lalmohan Ganguly Appearance and Anirban Chakraborty since the iconic character seemed quite intelligent.
