Moscow is the most congested city in Europe
The 2019 TomTom Index shows traffic levels in 416 cities in 57 countries. While Bengaluru obtained the dubious distinction as the most congested city in the world, in Europe, Moscow It remains the most blocked city, with travelers experiencing 59% additional travel time each year due to city traffic problems.
That equates to 225 additional hours caught behind the wheel or nine days and nine hours each year. Istanbul is the second most congested city in the European ranking category with 55%, followed by Kiev. Here is a look.
