The opposition calls budget 'without direction'

PATNA: Opposition leaders said the maternal treatment was distributed to Bihar in the general budget presented by the union's finance minister on Saturday. They also called the budget without vision without focusing on improving the economy or creating employment.

Opposition leaders also mocked the term double engine coined by the NDA government in the Center and the state, claiming that the budget contained hardly anything for Bihar.

Leader of the opposition in the state assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav tweeted: “In this budget, there are no words about the special package, there are no new initiatives or projects for Bihar. We anticipate a lot for our state since the double engine government is in command. This # Budget2020 is a reflection of the discriminatory intention of the Modi-government towards Bihar. (sic)

The leading RJD leader and former state finance minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui said the budget was different ‘ jumla ’From the Modi government. “Our GDP growth rate is the lowest among our neighboring countries, but the finance minister in her speech on the budget in Parliament said the government has estimated GDP growth at 10%. How will they do it? They are simply cheating people.

Speaking in similar lines, the head of RLSP said that the budget has not focused on job creation or any scheme in the health and education sector in Bihar. The double engine has derailed, Kushwaha added.

Calling the budget against the poor, the head of the Hindustani Awan Morcha (secular) Jitan Ram Manjhi said he will not benefit the poor in any way. “What will a poor person do with a supersonic plane, when they don't have a home to stay? They say they will install solar pumps for farmers, but the number is too small compared to the population of farmers. This is a routine budget.

The president of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee, Madan Mohan Jha, said the budget will by no means provide relief to ordinary people. “Although economists evaluate that unemployment was the highest in the country in the last 45 years, no focus on this issue can be seen in the budget. This budget has no address, ”he said.
