CRPF jawan, 4 civilians injured in grenade attack in Kashmir

SRINAGAR: A Jawan security force and four civilians were injured in an attack with militant grenades against personnel in the city's Lal Chowk area on Sunday, police said.

He threw a grenade at the CRPF staff on duty near the busy area of ​​Lal Chowk in the city, a police officer said.

CRPF Jawan and the four civilians injured in the blast were taken to a hospital, he said.

The strong explosion caused panic among people, especially those who had come to the weekly flea market, also known as the Sunday market, the official said. Security forces have cordoned off the area, he added.
