RAWALPINDI: fast bowler of Bangladesh Mustafizur Rahman He has been removed from the team for the first Test against Pakistan that begins in Rawalpindi on Friday, February 7.

The pacemaker was named on the team for the series of two tests in India in November, but did not play in any of the tests due to its poor condition, an ICC statement said.

Mustafizur was eliminated because of his poor performance, Bangladesh said, chief coach Minhajul Abedin said, as quoted by the ICC.

He enters and leaves the team for quite some time and does not play longer format matches regularly. His performances with the white ball are not satisfactory, Abedin added.

Other notable names that have been left out are the starters Imrul Kayes, Shadman Islam and the spinner Mehidy Hasan, and due to security reasons, the experienced portejo batter Mushfiqur Rahim has chosen not to participate.
