Union budget: The government pumps in Rs 4.4k cr so that cities breathe calmly

the amount of Rs 4,400 crore, however, does not figure in the expenditure budget of the environment ministry. Officials indicated that the money would be provided to states from various ministries for execution of pollution control measures in sectors such as transport and renewable energy.
