Budget: the allocation of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting increases by more than Rs 310 million
NEW DELHI: The minister of finance of the Union announced on Saturday a disbursement of 4,375.21 rupees for the fiscal year 2020-2021 and an increase of more than 310 million rupees compared to last year.
The allocation to Prasar Bharati remained at Rs 2889.36 crore, just like the revised 2019-20 estimate.
In the budget, the allocation for broadcasting under the head of social services has increased from Rs 3067.26 to Rs 3218.56. A total of Rs 967.29 rupees was allocated for information and publicity.
While the allocation for the Indian Film and Television Institute, Pune, has increased to Rs. 49.4 million rupees of 30.87 million rupees in 2019-20, Rs 61.30 million rupees have been allocated to the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, above Rs 25.69 million rupees in the current prosecutor.
Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar he praised the budget as more pragmatic at a time when the world economy faces winds against.
Not only has India achieved a good growth rate, but it is also moving towards a better rate, he said, adding that the budget will mark the beginning of comprehensive development. P
