Monkey act on Kabir by Padma Shri Shekhar Sen

Cultural Center of the North Zone, Patiala ( Minister of Culture Government of India) and Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi in collaboration with Kabir Panth Mahasabha he organized a mono play Satguru Kabir Sahib by Padma Shri Shekhar Sen on February 1 at Tagore Theater Chandigarh.n Shekhar Sen, singer, music composer, lyricist, playwright and actor was born on February 19, 1961 in a Bengali family of Raipur, Chattisgargh, of the renowned classical singers and musicologists Dr. Arun Kumar Sen, Dr. Aneeta Sen. Sen has well researched mono plays, Tulsi, Kabeer, Vivekanand, Sahab and Soordas, Satguru Kabir Sahib.

This mono musical play represents the exciting life story of the great reformer, poet and philosopher 'Kabeer'. 600 years ago, this legendary saint challenged the deeply rooted social ills that afflicted society. With 45 song sequences, this two-hour play was developed by this revolutionary social reformer who was discovered floating in a pond, on his day of birth, by a Muslim couple Neeru, Nima.
