I-League: Real Kashmir beat Aizawl FC 2-0
AIZAWL: A goal on both sides of halftime helped Royal cashmere beat the former champions Aizawl FC 2-0 in a I-League crash on saturday.
Kallum Higginbotham opened the scoring for visitors in the 17th minute. Mason Roberston completed the count in the 82nd minute.
It was RKFC's second victory in the trot, which led them to fifth place in the standings with 12 points in eight games.
RKFC co-founder Sandeep Chatto said: It was a blunt victory. I am sure that in the next matches we will reach the first three. The team is jumping back with two wins and two surprises and a draw in the last five games. .
Now I am sure that the team and the coach have reworked their strategy to bring to light the true magic of true Kashmir.
Aizawl was surprised with another fruitless start at home, which left them in tenth place in the points table with only eight points in nine games.
The home team has not won in six consecutive games now.
RKFC was the most dominant side from the start and they advanced through the good end of Higginbotham.
The Englishman received a pass from Robertson and fired a right-footed shot from the center of the area that crashed into the lower left corner.
RKFC maintained strict control over the procedures and entered the break leading by a goal.
They maintained their ancestry after the break and coach Dave Roberston introduced Gnohere Krizo instead of Higginbotham in the 68th minute to add more muscle to his attack.
The move was worth it when Krizo helped Roberston during the second goal at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium.
It was Krizo's pass that Robertson controlled and converted from the center of the box to secure the three points for the 'Snow Leopards' in his second season in the top category.
