Kunal Kamra sends a legal notice to IndiGo apologizing, revocation of the 6 month ban
NEW DELHI: Days after the ban for a period of six months for allegedly disturbing a journalist on a flight, the comedian sent a legal notice to the airline demanding an unconditional apology, revocation of the ban and compensation of Rs 25 lakh .
In a legal notice sent to the airline on Friday, Kamra's lawyer asked the airline to pay compensation to my client for the sum of Rs 25 lakhs because of the mental pain and agony suffered by my client, as well as the losses incurred due to the cancellation of their shows and programs scheduled in India, as well as to advocate due to the adoption of a totally illegal, arbitrary and high command procedure that goes against the current CAR (regulations).
PTI did not receive an answer from IndiGo when asked about the legal notice.
Kamra was banned by India's largest airline for six months on Tuesday for allegedly disturbing Goswami in it. SpiceJet, GoAir and Air India also imposed a ban similar to Kamra without specifying any period.
