It can be a middle class budget

INDORE: 2020 can be a 'middle class' budget as the focus of government is to trigger demand leaving more available in hand for income tax Reliefs and sops for affordable homes, economist and academic said.

Experts expect the budget to make a large number of advertisements to increase the disposable income of middle-class families and sops to trigger industrial production.

Prashant Salwan, professor of strategy and international business, Indian Institute of Management, said, "The budget is seen focusing on middle class and may come out with announcements on income tax rebates and options."

Salwan said to push industrial growth, government may announce stimulus for investment and attractive foreign direct investment policies.

Experts said government will also try to bridge skill-employability gap by means of pumping more funds and infrastructure.
