" Shonibar Bikel" By Mostafa Sarwar Farooki, Who Stars Parambrata Chatterjee In A Key Role Has Occupied The Headlines Since The Plot Of The Film Was Announced And Subsequently Generated Much Controversy. It's Based Freely On A Terrorist Attack Of A 2016 Coffee In Dhaka That Left 22 Dead.
The Mostafa Farooki The Directed Thriller Was Previously Selected For The Main Category Of The Competition In The 41st Edition Of Moscow International Film Festival Where Won Two Awards: The Jury Prize Of The Russian Federation Of Film Critics And The Kommersant Prize.
And Now, It's An Official Selection In The Sydney Film Festival . It Will Be Screened At Dendy Opera Quays In Sydney, On June 10 And 13, As Part Of The Festival.
The title of this thriller translates to ‘Saturday Afternoon’ and inspired by the July 2016 attack on an upmarket cafe by militants that killed 22 hostages, including 18 foreigners. The film is jointly produced by Jaaz Multimedia and Chabial from Bangladesh and Tandem Productions from Germany.
Beside Parambrata, 'Shonibar Bikel' Also Stars Zahid Hasan And Nusrat Imrose Tisha To Head Along With Palestinian Actor Eyad Hourani, Iresh Zaker, Mamunur Rashid, Nader Chowdhury, Intekhab Dinar, Gousul Alam Shaon And Others From Bangladesh.
