Anti-CAA agitation in Shaheen Bagh: Delhi police call on people to clear the way
NEW DELHI: On Friday he called on the agitators to unlock the Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh stretch because the residents of Delhi and NCR are suffering, authorities said. Protesters, who oppose the controversial Citizenship Law (Amendment) () and the proposed National Registry of Citizens (NRC) of India, have been protesting in Delhi for more than a month. The road is a key link between Noida and Delhi and has been closed due to ongoing protests.
We call on the agitators on the road No. 13-A, Shaheen Bagh, to understand the sufferings, the complete blockade of the highway is causing residents of Delhi and NCR, elderly people, emergency patients and children who are going to the school, said a police statement.
