Assam CM will install two new faces in its cabinet on Saturday

GUWAHATI: Assam Prime Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will induce two new faces in his ministry on Saturday to fill the remaining vacancies after the election of two state ministers to Lok sabha In May.

According to official sources Mahmora MLA Jogen Mohan and Tinsukia MLA Sanjay Kishan have been invited to take the oath of secrecy and office as ministers at Raj Bhawan on Saturday. The two are coming in place of Topon Kumar Gogoi and Pallab Lochan Das who won from Jorhat and Tezpur Lok sabha constituencies respectively.

It is speculated that Sonowal is also likely to reorganize his cabinet on Saturday. The term of the current alliance government led by BJP ends in June next year.

Also on Saturday, state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party He will have a new organized organization and the current president of the party, Ranjeet Kumar Dass, will be re-elected as head of the party for the next three years.
