Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly obtain Garware Club House membership
MUMBAI: the prestigious Garware Club House (GCH) here has granted an honorary membership associated with the captain of the Indian cricket team virat Kohli and president of BCCI Sourav Ganguly .
Membership was conferred on Kohli and Ganguly, a former Indian Team captain, for his outstanding contribution to cricket and his exceptional national team captaincy, the club said in a press release here.
The vice president of the GCH steering committee and the BJP leader, Raj Purohit, was present when membership was conferred to the duo during the first India-Australia ODI match at Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.
The club is located at Wankhede Stadium in southern Mumbai.
Kohli is considered one of the best hitters of his generation, while Ganguly, one of the most successful captains in India, is credited with announcing a new era in cricket in the country and creating a world team.
