Randeep Hooda celebrates Lohri in style
While the 2016 'Sarbjit' was considered one of his best performances, there are many who felt he did not get the level of appreciation he deserved. Talking about the same thing during an interview with Bombay Times , Randeep had said: I have never been a favorite for the awards. I haven't touched the line in many ways that might be expected of you in this industry. I also feel it is bad taste to sit here and say that I did not get an award for this or that I was not appreciated for that. You just have to keep going. I remember being noticed by my performance in Jannat 2 (2012). Suddenly, people wrote great things about me. I was filming for other movies and I started doing certain things in those movies because of that appreciation. I thought this is what people want.
“I have tried not to repeat what I thought had worked for me. I don't know how much it looks, but I've tried to differentiate each part. With that, I don't mean changing hairstyles and belts, it goes beyond that. Recognition is a funny thing. You have to get to a place where you and your loved ones are happy with what you have done. The rest is an exercise in thought manipulation, the impression you project or how you sell yourself as an actor. I'm not good at it, ”he added.
Randeep was last seen on the big screen in the 2018 movie, Baaghi 2. He has the American action thriller Out Of The Fire and two Bollywood releases, the movie Imtiaz Ali and Radhe, in a row.
