Two CISF jaws killed, another injured in Udhampur by J&K

UDHAMPUR: Two () staff members were killed and another seriously injured on Tuesday when a sentry allegedly opened fire inside a camp here, a police officer said.

The incident took place in the village of Sui, five kilometers from the headquarters, he said.

Citing preliminary information, he said that the Jawan allegedly opened fire on his colleagues inside the camp after he lost his temper during a heated discussion on some subject.

Three wounded jawans were taken to the Udhampur district hospital, where two of them, agents B N Murti and Mohammad Tasleem, were pronounced dead, the official said.

He said another jawan, Agent Sanjay Thali, was referred to the Jammu Hospital of the Government Medical College (GMC) for specialized treatment after first aid.

It was not immediately clear whether the jawan, which opened fire, is among the dead or injured, he said, adding that senior police and security officers rushed to the scene and more details are expected.
