UP: SP attacks the UP government for a new police surveillance system
LUCKNOW: Samajwadi party Chief Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday criticized his decision to implement the one in Lucknow and Noida and said it was another trick of the BJP to divert people's attention.
Yadav said taking this step after three years of being in power shows that the Yogi government has failed to control the crime so far.
How will the new experiments be useful for controlling crime? Only changing the responsibilities of the officers will not change the system, he said in a statement issued here.
The crime is on the rise. Incidents of rape, murder, loot, kidnapping cannot be controlled. BJP has once again used the trick to divert people's attention, he added.
The Uttar Pradesh government changed the police surveillance system for Lucknow and Noida on Monday, giving the best police in both cities.
The decision was made at a cabinet meeting chaired by the prime minister.
