Commentary against CAA protesters: two FIRs filed against Dilip Ghosh

CALCUTA: has filed two police complaints against West Bengal BJP president in the north and 24 districts of Parganas for his comments that anti-CAA protesters were shot like dogs, police and TMC sources said on Tuesday.

The main leader of TMC and the state minister of food supplies said on Tuesday that party activists presented a policeman who meets Ghosh for his controversial comment.

Ordinary people live in fear. Some fear that Dilip Ghosh can kill them or shoot them. So a police complaint was filed at the Habra police station in North 24 Parganas, which is being treated as an FIR, Mullick said.

The second police report was filed by a TMC leader in the Nadia district area.

We have received the complaint. We are investigating, said Nadia district police.

Ghosh has kicked up a row with his remark at a public meeting in Nadia district on Sunday that anti-CAA protesters were shot like dogs in BJP-ruled states, provoking criticism from political rivals as well as his own partymen.
