Maharashtra and Assam will deploy the largest contingents in the youth games of Khelo India

New Delhi, January 6 () Maharashtra and the Assam hosts will deploy the largest contingents in the third edition of the Khelo Indian Youth Games to be held in Guwahati from January 10 to 22.

It is very nice that Assam is the host of the third edition of the Khelo India Youth Games. We are participating in all disciplines in the tournament. Assam will introduce 656 athletes in the competition, said Assam's Chief of Mission, Navajyoti Basumatary.

The hosts point to a better ending and Basumatary hopes that the local public will provide a great boost to their athletes.

Our preparations are being carried out very well. We hope to finish in the top 10 this time. We have strong teams in boxing, swimming, soccer, cycling and shooting, among others, he said.
