Day 10 of the 'Good Newwz' box office collection: Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar's movie is inches away from the Rs 150 crore mark; earns Rs 14 crore

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar , Kiara Advani & Diljit Dosanjh starrer 'Good Newwz' looks to be on a juggernaut run in the domestic circuit as the film inches closer to the Rs 150 crore mark. Akshay has ended 2019 with a bang as all his releases have surpassed the 100 crore mark & 'Good Newwz' is quick to achieve the mammoth task in its first week itself.



As per the latest report on Box Office India, the Raj Mehta directorial has gone on to earn Rs 14 crore on its second Sunday which has taken the total second-weekend collection of the film to Rs 33.50 crore. 'Good Newwz' has collected a stupendous total of Rs 148.44 crore in the domestic circuit & would soon enter the Rs 150 crore mark. The second-weekend collection of the film is very similar to Akshay's previous releases 'Mission Mangal' & 'Housefull 4'.

According to the same report, 'Good Newwz' will cross the business of films like Saaho (Hindi), Total Dhamaal & Kesari on Monday to become the seventh highest-grossing film of 2019. The box office collections of the Akshay multi-starrer will also be affected as Ajay Devgn-Saif Ali Khan's 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' & Deepika Padukone 's' Chhapaak' will be out this week.

Meanwhile, 'Good Newwz' has received a good response from the critics as well as the audience & a good word of mouth has also been helping it excel at the ticket counters. The plot of the film revolves around two married couples, who try to conceive babies through in-vitro fertilisations (IVF) but a goof-up by the doctor starts off a hilarious joy ride for the audience.

On the professional front, Akshay has his kitty full with amazing projects like 'Bachchan Pandey', 'Sooryavanshi', 'Laxmmi Bomb' & ‘Bell Bottom’. Kiara will be teaming up with Akshay once again Laxmmi Bomb' & will also be seen opposite Kartik Aaryan in 'Bhool Bhulaiya 2'. On the other hand, Kareena is ready to entertain the public while collaborating with Irrfan Khan for 'Angrezi Medium'.
