‘Ghawre Bairey Aaj’ is a modern day adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore’s iconic novel Ghare Baire. It’s a modern retelling of Rabindranath Tagore`s classic novel, & chronicles a triangular love story which is as much a story of passionate romance as it is of clashing ideologies.

Aparna Sen had earlier jointly bagged the Best Director award for the socio-political drama alongside ‘BulBul Can Sing’ director Rima Das at the 10th Jagaran Film Festival held in Mumbai. The film swept away four awards at the Telangana Bengali Film Festival. It was also screened at the prestigious Chicago South Asian Film Festival.
