NCLAT dismisses RoC's statement on the modification of the judgment in the Tata-Mistry case
NEW DELHI: The National Court of Appeals for Company Law (NCLAT) on Monday rejected the petition filed by the Registrar of Companies (RoC) and refused to modify its judgment passed in the Tata-Mistry case.
A two-member bank headed by the president of justice S J Mukhopadhaya dismissed the statement presented by RoC. NCLAT also said that its ruling of December 18, 2019 has no opinions against it.
There is no reason to amend the sentence dated December 18, 2019, NCLAT said.
NCLAT, on December 18, had ordered the reinstatement of Cyrus Mistry as executive chairman of the $ 110 billion Tata group.
Tata Sons moved the Supreme Court last week against the NCLAT order on December 18.
