Saket casts a seven wicket spell while Bihar defeats Mizoram

Patna, January 5 () The half Pater Abhijeet Saket produced a magic spell during which he fired seven batters without conceding a single run to achieve the victory of Bihar's six wicket over Mizoram in a Ranji Trophy plate group match, here on sunday.

Saket finally finished the game with the best figures of his 7/12 career when Bihar completed the victory in three days.



The first discard of the Mizoram C Lalrinsanga opener (0) marked the beginning of Saket's electrifying spell. Four Mizoram hitters couldn't even open their account.

Taruwar Kohli soon did the same with a first ball duck in the second of 24 years. Lalhruaizela (1), Lalhmangaiha (3), Lalruatdika (0), Pratik Desai (0) and G Lalbiakvela (0) were the other victims of Saket.

Spinners Ashutosh Aman (2/30) and Shivam Sanjay Kumar (1/21) represented the three remaining wickets in Mizoram.

Captain KB Pawan made a brave 46 and was the top scorer of Mizoram, while all other players got a pitiful figure.

Saket's efforts helped Bihar divide Mizoram by 68 in his second inning, setting Bihar to a goal of 185 races.

In response, Bihar sailed towards the target in 33.4 overs with starter Indrajit Kumar (98 not out) and Babul Kumar (61) hitting comfortable half a century. Previously, Mizoram scored 378 in his first innings mainly in the back of Pratik Desai 192, while Bihar only managed 262. APA AT AT
