Back injury forces Nick Kyrgios to leave the ATP Cup

BRISBANE: Australian Mercurial Nick Kyrgios on Sunday he retired from his ATP Cup rubber against the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime in Brisbane with back pain.

He will be replaced by Australian number three John Millman, who will play in front of his local audience at Pat Rafter Arena.

Kyrgios was in excellent shape in the initial draw against Germany, presenting a master class of service when he knocked down Jan-Lennard Struff in straight sets.

The second singles race will feature Australian Alex de Minaur against Canadian number one Denis Shapovalov .
