Saurabh Chaudhary wins 10m of air gun gold at 63 ° Shooting Nationals

BHOPAL: Ace shooter Saurabh Chaudhary stamped his class to win the men's 10-meter air gun gold at 63 National Shooting Championship Saturday competitions.

The 17-year-old from Uttar Pradesh, which is touted as India's greatest hope for a medal in shooting at Tokyo games , he lowered his recently lost world record score by just 0.1, shooting an elegant 246.4 to finish at the top.

The second classified, Sarabjot Singh of Haryana, was far behind with a score of 243.9, while world number two Abhishek Verma settled for bronze in a high quality final.

Abhishek and Sarabjot combined to win the team's gold in the event for Haryana.

Sarabjot also won junior men's gold for a profitable day.
