Street Dancer 3D: ‘Illegal Weapon 2.0’ has an atmosphere of street mixing, presents the character of Shraddha Kapoor perfectly, says Remo D’Souza
After repeating Muqabla from Prabhudeva, the creators of ‘ Street dancer 3D revisited the Punjabi track, Illegal Weapon. Talking about the accelerated number, which was recommended by the producer Bhushan Kumar , the film's director, Remo D’Souza, said they have retained the music and the hook line, but have changed the lyrics. We realized that it could be a perfect song to introduce the character of Shraddha (Kapoor) ... We have accelerated the pace and added an atmosphere of street mixing to the song, he said during an interview with a news publication.
Remo continued explaining that Varun Dhavan and Shraddha belong to different dance groups in the movie and continue to compete with each other in the streets. The song Illegal Weapon 2.0, a composition of Tanishk Bagchi, sees the two groups meet for the first time.
As any dance-based film thrives on good music & great choreography, the makers plan on setting a benchmark with ‘ Street dancer 3D’. Remo reportedly said, “In the four years (since ABCD 2 ), Varun and Shraddha have grown as much as actors and dancers. I felt that I was leading a couple of different leaders, this time. The choreographer added that he had to make sure they didn't look repetitive. And while tweeting the first aspect of the dance number, Remo wrote: “The battle for the street is underway. # StreetDancer3D @Varun_dvn @ShraddhaKapoor (sic).
