Ranji trophy: fear of Prithvi Shaw's injuries, leaves the field after hurting his shoulder

MUMBAI: Just a week before leaving for New Zealand with the India A team, Prithvi Shaw he hurt his left shoulder while working during the Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Karnataka on Friday.

The incident occurred in the third session in the Bandra Kurla Complex when Shaw dove to save an overthrow. He was immediately taken off the field.

Shaw is named in the India A squad for the next tour of New Zealand and the team leaves on January 10. It is there in limited recesses, as well as in the squad for the four-day games that will be played there.

After the game of the day, patron of Mumbai Suryakumar Yadav Shaw said it looked better.

He (Shaw) looks better. Looking at him on the floor, he didn't look good, but now I think he looks good. Later on I will know from the physio what exactly the situation is (with respect to him), Surya told reporters.

A source from Mumbai's team said that, as a precaution, Shaw underwent an MRI.
