'Good Newwz' by Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor Khan surpasses the collections of 'Saaho', 'Dabangg 3' and others to create a new record; Discover

Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan have met after almost a decade and have hit the domestic circuit. Your movie ' Good newwz 'has been breaking records at the box office and at the same time creating new ones too.

The director of Raj Mehta, who also stars Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh in fundamental roles collected crore Rs 126 in the first week. The film that began with a good note saw a good increase in its collections due to the New Year holidays that indirectly have helped the growth of the film.

According to a report on Box Office India, ' Good newwz ' has managed to grab the 5th spot in the list of highest first-week collections of Bollywood films which released in 2019. The list is topped by Hrithik Roshan & Tiger shroff 's' War' that had managed to coin Rs 203.39 crore in its first week. Followed by Salman Khan 's ' Bharat ' ( Rs 156.71 crore ), ' Housefull 4 ' ( Rs 135.86 crore ) & ' Kabir Singh ' ( Rs 133.13 crore ).

Akshay's multi-starrer has managed to surpass the collections of Prabhas 'Saaho' & Salman's 'Dabangg 3' in the domestic circuit which released in 2019. ' Good newwz ' also exceeded Akshay's previous releases 'Mission Mangal' (Rs 115.38 crore) & 'Kesari' (Rs 97.35 crore) as well.

In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Akshay had opened up about his success at the box office. "I always think that my four films are releasing & I just hope that at least one film does well then I’ll get work in the next year. It’s not about giving hits in the industry; it’s about surviving in the industry," he said.

Furthermore, he added, "Survival is the most important thing. I always pray that I can survive in the industry & that is what I want. Someone was asking me now, ‘You are on which rank?’ I was like, ‘Mahalaxmi ka ghoda thodhi hu’. For me, if I’m working, it is more than enough."
