Sensex falls more than 162 points in the US outbreak. UU. And Iran

MUMBAI: The market reference sensex fell 162 points on Friday when global investors became risk averse after the assassination of an Iranian high general by the United States stoked fears of a geopolitical conflict.

Brent crude futures rose 4.4 percent to $ 69.16 per barrel when investors were nervous about supply concerns.

The BSE index of 30 shares ended 162.03 points, or 0.39 percent, lower than 41,464.61. Similarly, the broadest NSE Nifty closed 55.55 points, or 0.45 percent, to 12,226.65.

Asian Paints was the main loser in the sensex package, with a fall of 2.16 percent, followed by Axis Bank, Bajaj Auto, SBI, NTPC and Bajaj Finance.

On the other hand, Sun Pharma, TCS, HCL Tech, Infosys, Tech Mahindra and Bharti Airtel rose to 2.08 percent.

According to traders, investors moved away from risk assets after Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani was killed in a US attack in Iraq.

World leaders reacted with alarm to the murder, signaling concerns over the rise of regional tensions.

The courses in Shanghai and Hong Kong ended in red, while Seoul was set a little higher.

Stock exchanges in Europe opened significantly downward.

On the front of the coin, the rupee depreciated 37 countries against the US dollar at 71.75 (intraday).
