Lucknow's lawyers refuse to appear for anti-nationals

LUCKNOW: Septuagenarian Haseena has been touring the courts here for a week to find a lawyer for her grandson Waseem, 27, arrested for his alleged involvement in the violence during the protests against CAA on December 19, but has failed to find Anyone willing to take on the case.

“My neighbors helped me approach some lawyers in the lower courts, but they refused to address my case. They called Waseem anti-national and ridiculed me, ”said Haseena, a resident of Old Basmandi.

Like Haseena, many others find it difficult to get lawyers to submit bail applications for their arrested relatives. Several families claimed that lawyers rejected their requests and said their relatives engaged in an antinational activity.
