Sushil Kumar withdraws from wrestling trials citing a minor hand fracture

I am not participating in tests because I have suffered a minor fracture in my hand. I enjoy sports and only participate in any competition when I am completely fit, Sushil said.

The two-time Olympic medalist fighter also presented his medical certificate to the Wrestling Federation of India ( WFI ) indicating their unavailability for the tests.

I have sent a medical certificate to the federation and they will see and discuss it in the next few days. I will comply with the federation's decision, Sushil said.

The WFI sources said that the committee will sit on Thursday to look into Sushil's matter and take a decision.
