Air India, BPCL, Concor divestments 'unlikely' this prosecutor: government official
MUMBAI: strategic divestments in Indian air , Bharat Petroleum Corporation ( BPCL ) and Container Corporation of India ( Concor ) are unlikely this fiscal year, a senior government official said Thursday.
The official of the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) of the Ministry of Finance said that the process throws surprises, causing delays.
It should be noted that the government has set ambitious targets for divestments in FY20 to Rs 1.05 lakh crore.
When asked what happens to the objective if the process in three of the most important companies is delayed, the official declined to comment.
