MG Motor India sells 3,021 Hector units in December
MUMBAI: MG Motor India reported on Wednesday retail sales of 3,021 units of its Héctor sport utility vehicle in December.
Since July, when deliveries of its vehicles began in India, the automaker had recorded total sales in 15,930 units, MG Motor India said in a statement.
As a new participant in the Indian market, the strong sales momentum of our first offer, the Hector, has been very encouraging. We are working closely with our global and local suppliers to increase Hector's production in 2020 to support the delayed reserve, said Rakesh Sidana, sales director, MG Motor India.
The company said its second vehicle, an electric SUV, MG ZS, will go on sale in the country starting this month. READ ALSO |
Sidana also said that the company, in line with its focus on customer satisfaction, constantly evaluates Hector's emerging demand in the newest markets in India and proactively establishes more service centers closer to potential customers.
MG Motor India currently has more than 150 centers across India and aims to further strengthen its network count to 250 centers by March 2020, he said.
