Bhangra Paa Le: Sunny Kaushal and Rukshar Dhillon talk about the film's release amid protests
With the country involved in protests and demonstrations to dismiss and promote the Citizens Amendment Act ( CAA ) and the National Registry of Citizens ( NRC ), box office collections seem to be affected in these weeks. It was reflected in the numbers of Dabangg 3 and Good Newwz, which arrived on the screens in December.
So ' Bhangra Paa Le 'Actors, Sunny Kaushal & Rukshar Dhillon - Those who wait for the release of his film this week - spoke about the fate of the dramatic comedy now that it may be affected due to the unstable situation in the country.
While Sunny confessed that he’s unaware of the CAA & NRC , he shared that it’s heartbreaking to see whatever’s going on & see the country fight like this. “It’s immaterial which side you choose or what you protest against or for, but what really isn’t right is just the fight that’s going on. What matters right now is that we shouldn’t be put in a position or put ourselves in a position where we force ourselves to do such things,” he said during an interview with a news portal, adding that nobody wants to go out on the roads & fight, & people would rather stay calm.
Rukshar, who will be making her Bollywood debut with this film, then stepped in. “We all can just hope that it gets to a level where everything settles as soon as it can, because why would anyone want an unhealthy environment around them… We, too, get affected because it’s happening in our country & so many people are bearing the brunt of it,” she reportedly added.‘ Bhangra Paa Le ’, directed by debutant Sneha Taurani, is slated to release on January 3.
